Procedure Description:
Lipoplasty improves body shape by removing exercise-resisitant fat deposits.Tiny tunnels are created in the fat utilizing a suction technique. As the tunnels collapse, the layer of fat is decreased.
What To Expect:
Lipoplasty can reduce the thickness of the outer layer of fat which lies between our skin and muscle. Tiny tunnels are created in the fat by a suction technique. Over time the tunnels collapse and the skin is then closer to the muscle. Very small incisions are utilized. They are hidden in skin folds and are generally imperceptable. The Tumescent Technique is performed as part of the procedure. It decreases post-operative bruising and swelling. Ultrasound waves are also frequently utilized in many patients to more effeciently remove fat.
